Brand Development

BOOM! is a biennial design competition presented by AIGA, the professional association for design, that gives young designers the opportunity to celebrate their work. A national panel of judges review submissions and winners are recognized in a commemorative book and at the Gala and Exhibition. As the design sponsor for the event, we managed the creation of the brand and fulfillment of collateral pieces, as well as designed and produced the design competition. Impressive, huh?

At-Event Production

We secured judges, sponsors, chose the venue, coordinated the gala and led all event promotions. The Nasher Museum of Art elevated the competition's stature, and our award-winning branding work set the event apart from other annual design competitions—believe us, there are many. The "Great Ideas Flourish" theme carried throughout a wealth of promotional and support pieces and invigorated the competition from the first call for entries.

Nearly six months of pre-planning and a coordinated call for entries process led to a record number of entrants and winners, leading to twice the amount of profits from the previous six years of AIGA Raleigh's competition.
