In the spring of 2014, Mottis served as the marketing sponsor for Artsplosure – The Raleigh Arts Festival, presented by Artsplosure. One of the main objectives for this campaign was to differentiate the festival from the organization, as they are both named “Artsplosure," while ensuring that the organization’s new brand look and messaging transitioned into the festival’s event pieces.
Our team created a new type treatment for the festival that was inspired by a local artist’s painting, and it also encompassed the spirit of an artist’s signature, the Raleigh skyline and the downtown area. From brush strokes in the typography to ink splatters highlighting key text to a rich color palette, the result is an identity that evokes artistic expression at every turn.

Mottis used the lively spirit of the brand identity to develop a complete campaign for the Raleigh Arts Festival, including print ads, t-shirts and billboards. The result was true to Artsplosure's mission: bring art to life in surprising and fun ways.
