Kelly MarCom Wins Two International MarCom Awards
Kelly MarCom, an integrated branding and advertising agency, was awarded two MarCom Awards by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals for creative work produced for Oracle, the world’s largest enterprise software company, and the 2007 AIGA BOOM! design competition.
The MarCom Awards is an international competition for marketing and communication professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing and communication programs and print, visual and audio materials. A look at the winners shows a range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 50 companies.
Kelly MarCom received a Gold MarCom Award in the pro-bono category for the agency’s work produced for AIGA’s 2007 BOOM! design competition. As the official design sponsor for the competition, Kelly MarCom was tasked with developing and managing the entire competition, from ideation and design of all print materials, to event management and coordination. The pre-event mailer, nomination Web site, exhibition book and winners’ gift bags all incorporated the central message of the campaign: “great ideas flourish.”
A promotional mailer designed for Oracle earned Kelly MarCom honorable mention in the MarCom Awards direct mail category. The unique mailer focused on “hot solutions” with visuals of chili peppers and included a large bottle of TABASCO® sauce as an incentive to tie in the message and theme. Oracle was targeting companies in the Atlanta area and the sales reps shared that hot sauce was a staple in the region. The mailing generated a 20 percent response rate and led the client to execute several more mailings to an expanded target list throughout the Southeast.
“Critical to business success in this economy, and especially in the future, is embracing a shift to a more conceptual way of working,” said Shelley Kelly, president and CEO of Kelly MarCom. “We are proud to deliver the collective design innovation that supports our clients’ business success today and in the future with new ideas and new ways of thinking.”
